K9 and Beercasting

We normally steer clear from Science Fiction on television but I’ve just come across this pic of the new K9 and I couldn’t resist putting it up here. I’m not a big fan of SF on TV normally but the new Dr. Who hasn’t disappointed. There’s even talk of a K9 based Dr. Who spinoff which sounds dubious . Ironically enough the Sony Aibo looks more high tech than even the revamped K9. Another example of science fiction being out science fictioned by stuff in the real world.
We’re finally back on track with the podcasts. Episodes 6 and 7 are in the can. Episode 6 is a Science Fiction Beercast, basically a podcast featuring a bunch of guys drinking loads of beer. Episode 07 is a podcast featuring an interview with Jeff Duntemann.

So we’re limping back on schedule but its going to be erratic. Poor Charlie is stranded without broadband in a million pound seafront flat in Brighton. I’m also stranded in a Brighton seafront flat without broadband but I’m unecumbered by the 3,000 square feet of space that Charlie is. So at the moment Meme Therapy is a sneakernet project. We had to burn the latest episode to DVD to get it off Charlie’s computer. We’re actualy transporting information by carrying media again, it feels positively medieval.
